Healthy cells have both positive and negative charges in their membranes. The cells use these charges to move nutrients and waste, which keeps them healthy. When the cells lose charge due to illness or injury, they lose their ability to take in the nutrients and get rid of the waste. Cells with low charge can lead to pain, fatigue, and inflammation. PEMF therapy renews these cells by harnessing the power of electromagnetic energy. The therapy uses a PEMF device that releases electromagnetic waves, directing the electromagnetic fields towards the targeted area. These energy fields enter the cells of an injured or damaged area, where they are then able to absorb the energy and recharge. This energy absorption is like an exercise for the cells, which lends PEMF therapy the nickname of “cellular exercise.” Once the cells are energized, cellular activity can increase and cells can begin sorting wastes and nutrients more efficiently.
According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), there is no known safe level of toxic metals. Toxic metals such as mercury, arsenic, lead, and cadmium, are known to interfere with many biological functions within the body.
Some of the issues that can occur with a high level of heavy metal toxicity include:
Non-toxic nutritional minerals, such as calcium and iron can also accumulate to unhealthy levels within the heart muscle and blood vessel tissues, and this is believed by some researchers to contribute to hypertension, vessel disease, arteriosclerosis, and certain heart conditions.
A chelating agent, such as EDTA chelation therapy or Dimercaptosuccinic Acid, binds to these metals in the bloodstream and guides them out of the body. The approach uses medicines that remove both toxic and non-toxic metals from the body.
IV NAC is a type of IV drip therapy that can help you boost your immune system, detoxify your liver and kidneys, and improve brain and respiratory health. NAC stands for N-acetyl cysteine, a special type of amino acid that plays a key role in synthesizing natural antioxidants in the body through glutathione, the mother of all antioxidants. While N-acetyl cysteine is capable of being produced by your body naturally, this is only possible if your body has other amino acids available – and that’s why IV therapy may be a good idea to help detoxify your body.
The goal of this treatment is to help your body produce natural antioxidants, which will help fight against premature cellular aging that may lead to compromised immune systems, kidney, liver, and lung disease, and even age-related brain degeneration. In terms of restorative health, antioxidants are our most powerful allies since they fight against the free radicals that can cause our cells to break down more quickly.
But how can this treatment help you specifically? IV drips with N-acetyl cysteine have been used to detoxify the body of too much acetaminophen in medical settings for years. As a supplement treatment, NAC can also help with issues such as:
Myers’ Cocktail – An intravenous vitamin infusion which enhances immune system, reduces fatigue, helps with seasonal allergies, reduces symptoms of fibromyalgia and asthma.
The Myers’ Cocktail is named for the late John Myers, M.D., a Maryland physician who used intravenous injections of nutrients to treat many chronic conditions. Currently, the nutrient cocktail has been popularized by alternative medicine practitioners. It has been used for decades as treatment for thousands of patients with the Myers’ Cocktail. Conditions which has been found to be responded well by this treatment include acute asthma attacks, migraines, fatigue, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, acute muscle spasm, upper respiratory tract infections, chronic sinusitis, seasonal allergies and cardiovascular disease. It has also been observed in improving athletic performance.
The Myers’ Cocktail works by increasing the blood concentration of several essential vitamins and minerals beyond that which can be achieved when supplementing orally. For example, Vitamin C given intravenously has been found to reach blood concentrations more than 50 times greater than what can be achieved when given orally.
The idea is that many illnesses and conditions are associated with digestive disturbances such as bloating, indigestion and food sensitivities and that people with such conditions may not absorb many of the nutrients needed to return them to good health. Also, many diseases and inflammation cause the body to use nutrients at a faster rate, or to require higher amounts for proper healing. When nutrients are given intravenously, the digestion is bypassed. ADDITIONALLY the levels in the bloodstream are temporarily increased so that the nutrients are “coaxed” into the cells, and frequently into the mitochondria where they are active. This temporary boost frequently “kick-starts” the cells, so that energy is produced more efficiently in them.
Some patients feel an energy boost lasting days or weeks. In the case of fibromyalgia, decreased pain can be observed. In other chronic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and ulcerative colitis, because the “leaky” nature of the gut, the infusion helps get necessary nutrients into the cells. Chronic asthma and other lung disease, congestive heart failure, and chronic allergic problems may respond with more energy and less symptoms. Patients who get sick often with infections may find an improved immune response, with less susceptibility to viral illnesses.
A small catheter is inserted into a vein, and the infusion is given very slowly over 20-30 minutes. Side effects are remarkably rare and almost always are limited to local irritation of the vein. The most common sensations are heat and flushing (a magnesium effect), and the taste of vitamins soon after the infusion begins. The cocktail is usually given 1-2 times per week, and beneficial effects are usually felt by the fourth visit. Many patients with chronic conditions choose to continue the infusions every 1-4 weeks or when they feel their energy slipping.
Reiki is an energy healing technique that promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety through gentle touch. Reiki practitioners use their hands to deliver energy to your body, improving the flow and balance of your energy to support healing.
Mikao Usui developed reiki in the early 1900s, deriving the term from the Japanese words rei, meaning “universal,” and ki, which refers to the vital life force energy that flows through all living things. Now, reiki is used all over the world, including in hospitals and hospices, to complement other forms of health treatments.
“Reiki aids in healing by helping people become energetically balanced — physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually,” Bodner says.
Reiki promotes relaxation, stress reduction and symptom relief to improve overall health and well-being. It can:
Studies show that reiki treatment may create feelings of:
No. Reiki treatment should not be used as a substitute for the consultation of a physician or a psychotherapist.
“Reiki complements other types of medical and therapeutic treatments, and it can increase the efficacy of other types of healing,” Bodner says.
If you’re already in good health, though, regular reiki treatments can enhance your ability to respond to stress and serve as a form of preventive medicine.
“Because it works on the entire self – mind, body and emotions – and because it is universal life force energy, reiki may be successful in all types of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual healing,” Bodner says.
Reiki isn’t specific to any particular type of disease or condition but may help people with:
Reiki can also help you prepare for surgery, which may help boost your recovery afterward.
Reiki practitioners act as a conduit between you and the source of the universal life force energy. The energy flows through the practitioner’s hands to you.
“The patient determines the energy flow from the practitioner’s hands by taking only what they need,” Bodner says. “This helps the patient know that we are supporting them only in what they need rather than what we think they need. This makes it the perfect balance to meet the patient’s needs.”
Reiki treatments typically last about 50 minutes. During a session, you’ll lie on a massage table fully clothed, as your reiki practitioner gently places their hands, palms down, on or just above your body in specific energy locations. They use a series of 12 to 15 different hand positions.
“The length of time that the practitioner leaves their hands in each position is determined by the flow of energy through their hands at each location,” Bodner explains.
Reiki differs from other touch therapies in that there is no pressure, massage or manipulation involved.
“You may experience the energy in the form of sensations like heat, tingling or pulsing where the Reiki practitioner has placed their hands,” Bodner says. “Sometimes, people feel sensations moving throughout the body, while other people do not perceive any change at all.”
Most people feel very relaxed and peaceful during reiki treatment, and many fall asleep during the process.
Living a healthy lifestyle means staying in tune with your body and listening to what it tells you. When it comes to nutrition, you do your best to get all the right nutrients to stay energized and nourished. Vitamins and supplements are there to complement the nutrients you get from food and bring you one step closer to your health and wellness goals.
Good nutrition makes for a durable immune system. Your immune system relies on what you put into your body, and certain nutrients are known for their immune-supporting benefits.
Vitamin C is considered one of the biggest immune supporters. It's an antioxidant that protects your cells from damage caused by oxidative stress from free radicals, which are unstable molecules. Zinc is also critical for immune cell development and communication and studies indicate that it may promote immune health.
B-complex vitamins, like thiamin, riboflavin, folate, biotin, and vitamins B6and B12 collaborate with other enzymes in your body to metabolize energy from protein, fats, and carbohydrates. Staying physically active and eating a healthy diet also help to maintain a healthy metabolism—factors that are important for healthy aging and your overall health.
CHINESE HERBS
Chinese herbs are the oldest medical system in the world. It continues to evolve as an essential wellness solution due to its efficacy and long-term benefits. This deeply philosophical ancient medicine was developed through the observation of nature and the cosmos, rooted in the wisdom of Taoism, the concepts of Yin & Yang and the 5 Elements.
