At Heart Mind Body, we believe that the approved uses use of Spravato: 

• Adults with treatment-resistant depression (TRD)
• Depressive symptoms in adults with major depressive disorder (MDD) with suicidal thoughts or actions.

Are best served by the presence of both our nurse practitioner (APN) and our life coach. The APN monitors your treatment for any additional medication support that may be needed for the side effects that may occur. We want your session to go smoothly. The life coach sits with those clients who need to talk about whatever may come up from the desired effects of Spravato. Each person’s response is different and we cater to those needs.

Spravato, however, works a bit differently. Instead of activating dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine, it increases glutamate levels. Glutamate is the most abundant neurotransmitter in the brain. Esketamine enhances the brain's learning and memory functions and alleviates the symptoms of depression.

Our  treatment room has leather recliner chairs with electronic charging stations, dim lighting, partitions, throw blankets, and lightly scented aroma therapy, This sets a relaxing and peaceful space in which our client’s receive care. 

We provide, upon request, patient education material about Spravato.
